• Please temporarily disable any firewalls or any anti-virus programs.
• Turn off any programs running in the background which may be utilising your internet connection. For example, live streaming radio, video streaming and Peer to Peer programs such as Emule, BitTorrent or Edonkey. Turning these programs off will ensure that the speed test estimate is as accurate as possible.
• Make sure you have tried different locations (if possible) when using a mobile wireless service such as Mobi. Make sure that you test the speed in the location which yields the highest signal strength and most stable "signal quality" and lowest Frame Error Rate.
